Fast Food Nation Chapter 3
In chapter three Schosser discusses the workers in fast food restaurants. He talks about how the majority of fast food workers are unskilled teenagers, immigrants, eldery people, or disabled people. The industry has practically done away with the need to extensively train employees by putting all the work on to the machines. The employees need to do very little which saves the corporations a great deal of money. The way that Scholosser discussed the negative effect these jobs are having on teenagers education stood out to me. The way that kids will work 12 hour shifts and put their jobs before their educations will negatively effect our country in the future.

I agree with your last statement about how students put their jobs before their school work. I remember in High School how there were a bunch of people who worked all the time so they could buy what they wanted. Ideally it's a good idea, but now that I'm older, I see most of them either still working at the same place, or with a new job working full time, not in school.
